Job Summary 

The Plow Driver Equipment Ops is focused on providing safe walking and driving surfaces for our guests and internal customers. Safety is one of our missions at Vail Resorts and employees that help us meet our goal to "be safe" are valued on our team!  This position also has a hand in maintaining our parking lots and supporting our Base Area Ops team in various projects.

 

Job Specifications

  • Expected Pay Range:  $21.00 - $24.99 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full & Part Time
  • Skill Level: Intermediate

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Snow plowing and snow removal operations at the resort, including ensuring slick surfaces are covered with traction material.
  • Cleaning and maintaining our parking lots.
  • Providing the safest possible surfaces for our guests and employees to drive and walk on.
  • Providing excellent internal and external guest service.
  • Safely and efficiently operating all equipment used by the Base Ops team including but not limited to Skid Steers, snow blowers, plow trucks, backhoe, front end loader, and dump truck.
  • Monitoring all equipment and make sure that all issues are addressed promptly and communicated with Vehicle Maintenance.
  • Daily vehicle checks.
  • Tire chain removal / installation and repairs.
  • Working unsupervised with a task list.
  • Hauling snow and other materials to and from our lots.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid Drivers License - required.
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs - required.
  • Previous equipment operation experience in relevant equipment - required.
  • Comfortable Driving Oversized Vehicles in Winter Conditions – required.
  • Experience in a high alpine environment in winter - preferred.
  • Previous plow/snow removal experience - preferred.
  • Previous dump truck driving experience - preferred.

 

The expected pay range is $21.00 - $24.99. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
