Job Summary:

The Terrain Park Supervisor will work with the Grooming Supervisor, Snowmaking Manager and Mountain Operations Director in delivering the Terrain Park experience for our employees and guests.  This individual is responsible for the team's supervision, training, scheduling, and motivation.  The terrain park supervisor will perform a daily risk management assessment of the terrain park venue including the design/construction and layout of features as well as placement and integrity of all animation and signage. The terrain park supervisor will ensure and regulate the effective testing of features, monitor daily maintenance, and assure frequency in terrain park attendant’s guest interactions. The terrain park supervisor will complete daily logs and attend mountain operations and related grooming-specific planning meetings. The Supervisor will be responsible for implementing park crew safety and other training programs.  The Terrain Park Supervisor will assist in carrying out all guest service, operational, and financial goals and objectives set forth by the Terrain Park Manager, the Terrain Park Best Practices group, and upper management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Training/coaching/supervising/leading of Terrain Park Attendants and Operators
  • Organize and conduct weekly safety meetings as well as document case specific Equipment and PPE Trainings
  • Lead all Terrain Park Attendants and Groomers efficiently through the daily Terrain Park Operations and nightly design and construction plan
  • Performs a daily assessment of risk, feature inspections, maintenance, and testing of all features
  • Directs leads, attendants, and operators to complete projects and general maintenance in an efficient and carefully planned manner
  • Work with Grooming Supervisor and Snowmaking manager in design and donstruction planning for all parks, pipes, and special events.
  • Assist Ski Patrol on accident investigations
  • Hiring, firing and Scheduling of terrain park attendants
  • Act as liaison between Attendants and Grooming Staff as well as upper management and other departments
  • Assist in the development of nightly grooming plans for Terrain Parks and
  • Responsible for park operations/decision making when manager is unavailable
  • Act as role model regarding employee development and guest service related initiatives
  • Assist in all trainings for Terrain Park Attendants including the implementation of all necessary tools and equipment
  • Ongoing development of standard operating procedures and Best Practices
  • Assists with the Financial Management of budget implications generated through the scheduling of attendants and operators
  • Other duties as assigned by Terrain Park Manager

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 years of education
  • Minimum of 5 years terrain park experience
  • Minimum of 2 year of supervisory experience
  • Must have a valid drivers
  • Must ski or ride at a Level 7 or above
  • Must have own ski or ride equipment

 

The expected pay range is $25.00 - $28.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
