Job Summary:

The Heavenly Ski & Ride School (SRS) Location Manager leads all operational, financial, and cultural aspects of a designated base location, delivering exceptional employee and guest experience in alignment with Vail Resorts values.

 

This 8-month role is responsible for driving business results and team performance. The SRS Location Manager develops supervisor leadership skills and aligns frontline teams to school, resort, and enterprise priorities while ensuring consistent high-quality execution of programs and service standards. Success in this role is defined by the ability to translate priorities into measurable outcomes with a can-do attitude, a service leadership orientation, cognitive flexibility, and a high degree of coachability.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $71,042.40 - $86,427.58
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026 
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, instructors, and support staff
  • Drive a culture of engagement, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Deliver improved positive results in employee engagement and guest satisfaction
  • Guide supervisor delivery of all aspects of daily operations aligned with business demand and service standards
  • Meet or beat financial performance, product quality, and safety goals
  • Resolve guest concerns by using sound judgment according to company values
  • Contribute to and execute strategic initiatives
  • Proactively identify opportunities to drive measurable school-wide improvement
  • Maintain a holistic resort mindset partnering cross-functionally to deliver a seamless, industry-leading guest experience
  • Timely and accurate execution of administrative responsibilities

Job Requirements:

  • Above average capability in making decisions when full context is not provide
  • Ability to hold candid conversations, deliver performance coaching, and make difficult decisions
  • Proven experience driving assignments to completion, ensuring alignment, follow-through, and sustained impact
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience
  • 8 years’ experience as a ski/snowboard instructor or coach
  • Active PSIA/AASI Level 2 certification or equivalent
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Must pass a background check

 

The expected pay range is $71,042.40 - $86,427.58. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
