Summary:

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to help lead our high-volume rental operation and two smaller retail locations at Heavenly. This is a seasonal position with a strong opportunity to transition into a year-round leadership role based on performance, experience, and business needs.

As Assistant Manager, you’ll be a key holder and act as manager-on-duty in the absence of senior leadership. You’ll oversee daily operations, lead a large team, and help drive a culture of excellence, development, and fun.

 

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of up to 55 frontline staff and leadership team of 10–15 leads and supervisors.
  • Act as a key holder with responsibilities including opening/closing procedures and alarm code access
  • Provide direct coaching and feedback to team members to foster growth and accountability
  • Attend and contribute to Assistant Manager meetings, cascading key information to your team
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with meal and rest breaks
  • Drive training plans for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff
  • Maintain inventory and supplies for both rental and retail operations
  • Create a positive, team-oriented environment—and help plan the fun!
  • Identify sales opportunities and implement strategies to meet goals
  • Protect company assets through loss prevention and inventory management
  • Manage operational budgets and payroll
  • Stay current on industry trends and product knowledge
  • Perform administrative duties and other tasks assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
  • At least 2 years in retail and/or rental operations
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Passion for talent development and team building
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
  • Familiarity with POS systems (preferred)
  • Experience in resort or ski/snowboard industry (preferred)

 

The expected pay range is $25.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
