Job Summary:
The Senior Director of Skier Services is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all skier service operations at Beaver Creek. This executive role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences by managing departments such as ski & snowboard school, daycare, rentals, summer activities, and other guest-facing services.The Senior Director ensures operational efficiency, drives revenue growth, and fosters a culture of safety, hospitality, and professionalism.
This position is based at a ski resort and requires both office and on-site presence, especially during peak winter season. The Senior Director will be expected to navigate variable weather conditions and occasionally participate in outdoor activities. Regular weekend and holiday work is required.

Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and implement skier service strategies aligned with the resort’s mission and business objectives.
Lead and mentor department managers and supervisors across all skier services areas.
Establish performance targets and regularly review departmental outcomes.
Guest Experience:
Ensure all skier service touchpoints deliver outstanding customer service and exceed guest expectations.
Resolve complex guest concerns and complaints in a timely, professional manner.
Implement programs to collect and analyze guest feedback for continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily operations for ski & snowboard school, rentals, daycare, summer activities, and related departments.
Responsible for optimizing staffing levels and schedules to manage peak and off-peak periods effectively.
Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations, resort policies, and industry standards.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage annual budgets for skier services departments.
Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and implement strategies to maximize revenue and control costs.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on promotions, packages, and guest programs.
Staff Development:
Recruit, train, and retain top talent for all skier services leadership functions.
Foster a positive, inclusive work environment and promote professional growth opportunities.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
Collaboration & Communication:
Serve as a key member of the resort’s senior leadership team.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest and employee experiences.
Represent skier services in executive meetings and report on departmental performance.
Job Requirements:
Extensive experience in ski and snowboard instruction, with progressive leadership positions within a resort or instructional program, alongside 10+ years of progressive experience in guest services, hospitality, or ski resort operations—including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, best practices in snow sports instruction and guest service.
Excellent communication, leadership,organizational, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multifaceted skier services resort environment, manage departmental budgets with strong financial acumen, and adapt to flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

The expected pay range is $120,000 - $160,000 + annual bonus + equity. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
