Job Summary:

Lead Grounds Maintenance position will be responsible for overseeing a crew of landscapers: training new staff, designating tasks, maintaining quality standards, and organizing time in each location.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $23.00/hr - $26.88/hr  
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age 
  • Housing Availability: Yes  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Planting installation (annuals, perennials, bulbs, shrubs and trees) for a variety of ornamental beds and landscape areas and provide follow up maintenance to include pruning, weeding, deadheading, watering and fertilizing.
  • Installation of seasonal hanging baskets and planter displays, and provide routine maintenance to include watering, fertilizing, and pruning
  • Three-season turf maintenance to include aerating, edging, seeding, mowing, trimming and fertilizing.
  • Prepare soils for various kinds of plantings and cultivate around plants, shrubs, and trees.
  • Clean and sweep WB outdoor areas and buildings (ie, patios, walkways, etc where plants are located)

  • Always show up on time, in uniform, and adhere to the grooming policy!
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Possession of Valid B.C. Class 5 driver's license is mandatory
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset
  • Minimum 2 years experience in landscape maintenance technician position
  • Physically fit to perform required duties such as bending, kneeling, and heavy lifting
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to communicate effectively
  • Able to work well independently and in a team environment,
  • Ability to operate power equipment and to use the tools and materials with efficiency and safety.
  • Must be task and project oriented, with a proven excellent work ethic, high standards, and a good eye for detail
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to changing work assignments
  • Works well under all weather conditions and to practice the highest level of guest service.
  • Proof of clear criminal record check.

 

The expected pay range is $23.00/hr - $26.88/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
