Job Summary:

Responsible for performance management and evaluations; hiring and staffing, scheduling of the AH Snowplow & Building maintenance division. Enforces policies and procedures. Directs day-to-day work of employees, through supervision of lead staff and directly. Reports to both the Beaver Creek BAO Director to ensure the roadways and facilities of Arrowhead are maintained and accessible as well as oversee road and maintenance projects as directed by both entities. Reports to both Arrowhead Metro District and Arrowhead at Vail board of directors.

  • Expected Pay Range: $56,485 - Mid $74,518- Max $92,552

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train and oversight of operators for department including evaluations, scheduling and coaching.
  • Work closely with the Director of Base Area Ops to plan, implement and maintain budget for special projects and day to day road and project maintenance operations.
  • As a working supervisor, must be certified to operate a variety of equipment, trucks and tractors for the purpose of street and utility repair, maintenance, snow removal and construction of facilities.
  • Perform un-skilled, semi-skilled, and skilled labor in support of normal work activities such as using shovels, rakes, jackhammers, power tools, mowers, weed whips, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on all equipment used in road and building operations e.g. checking fluids, functional components, cleaning, tire changing, plow maintenance, broom/brush replacement etc.
  • Responsible for the management, safety, and cleanliness of Maintenance, Tennis Center, and Restroom facilities.
  • Responsible for Time and Labor management, Performance Appraisals, daily work logs
  • Responsible for all snow and ice removal activates on pedestrian ways within Arrowhead.
  • Responsible for safety training of all employees to meetings, documentation and implementation of new procedures
  • Manage and direct temp services as needed
  • Responsible for all payroll inputs, approvals and corrections. 

 

Job Requirements:

Required: 

  • High School Education of Equivalent
  • 3-5 Years Plow Vehicle operations, Prior Vail Resorts Experience Helpful
  • 3-4 Years’ experience in  team management
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office standard applications (Word, Excel, successfactors, peoplesoft) Must get Time and Labor trained.
  • Strong verbal and written English, Spanish helpful
  • Must possess basic mechanical skills to enable diagnostic review / assessment of all vehicles operated
  • Strong communication and relationships skills necessary to deal with Resort home and property owners as well as AH Metro Board

 

The expected pay range is $56,485 - $92,552. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
