Job Summary:
The Childcare Manager/Operations Director is responsible for leading a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the center in collaboration with the Senior Manager. The Childcare Manager/Operations Director must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating center environment where children and staff are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Childcare Manager/Operations Director must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide center staff and support relationships with families. This position will comply with all company and department policies and follow all state licensing regulations.

- The budgeted range starts at $55,000 - $75,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Educator in coordinating and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
- Effectively communicate center policies staff and guests and efficiently support families through the registration process.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Supervise assisting teachers to ensure they follow planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records, forms, and files.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Effective manage billing, paperwork, payroll, enrollment, subsidy, and other administrative tasks when the Director is not present
Required:
- Bachelor/Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or child development and family studies, early childhood special education, or a combination of work experience and education commensurate with the above duties.
- At least 3 years of professional child care experience
- 1 year of experience managing a classroom
- 1 year of experience supervising a team
- Licenses/Accreditations: Colorado Childcare Director’s Certificate
- Computer Skills: Desired skills include Microsoft Office Software
- Must be fluent in English
- Infant/Child First Aid and CPR Certification, Universal Precaution Certification
- Must Pass CO Criminal Background Check (and FBI Fingerprint check if a Colorado Resident for less than three years)

The expected pay range is $55,000 - $75,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
