Job Summary:
The Activities Manager is responsible for leading the planning, development, and execution of recreational programming, member events, and social experiences at the Arrowhead Alpine Club. This role is essential in driving member engagement, enhancing satisfaction, and delivering a high-quality club experience aligned with Vail Resorts brand standards. In addition to programming leadership, this position plays a key operational role within the club, including serving as Manager on Duty (MOD), supporting day-to-day operations, and ensuring exceptional guest and member service

 

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $58,461.98 - $74,389.88 
  • Employment Type: Year Round (11-month) 
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available 
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:
Programming & Member Experience

  • Plan, organize, and execute recreational, social, and seasonal programming for members and guests
  • Build and maintain a dynamic events calendar aligned with member interests and resort initiatives
  • Evaluate program performance through participation, feedback, and financial results
  • Continuously identify opportunities to elevate the member experience 

Club Operations

  • Support daily operations of Arrowhead Alpine Club to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as scheduled, providing leadership presence and resolving operational challenges
  • Ensure adherence to company safety, service, and operational standards
  • Assist with opening/closing procedures and operational readiness 

Financial & Administrative Management

  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals
  • Oversee activity billing, reconciliation, and reporting processes
  • Track participation metrics and provide insights to leadership 

Member Communication & Engagement

  • Lead member communications including weekly newsletters, event promotions, and club updates
  • Foster strong relationships with membership to understand preferences and enhance retention
  • Support marketing and outreach strategies to drive engagement 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Food & Beverage, Operations, Sales, Ski & Snowboard School, and other departments to deliver integrated experiences
  • Coordinate event needs including staƯing, catering, and logistics 

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage relationships with vendors, instructors, and external partners
  • Coordinate services and ensure quality delivery aligned with club standards

 

Job Requirements:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in hospitality, club management, event coordination, or recreation programming preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage budgets, logistics, and multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons

 

The expected pay range is $58,461.98 - $74,389.88. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
