Job Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of Attitash and Wildcat Mountain Resorts. This role provides full accountability for delivering strong financial results, exceptional guest and employee experiences, and safe, compliant operations across two distinct resorts.
The GM leads a unified leadership team across both properties, ensuring alignment to company strategy while optimizing operational efficiency, resource sharing, and long-term growth. This role requires a highly experienced operator with deep mountain operations expertise, strong people leadership, and the ability to navigate complex community and stakeholder environments.

Job Responsibilities:
Multi-Resort Leadership & Strategy
- Provide end-to-end operational leadership across Attitash and Wildcat, ensuring consistency in standards while respecting distinct brand and operational identities
- Lead a combined resort leadership model, optimizing shared services, labor, and resources across both mountains
- Develop and execute integrated strategic and operating plans that drive visitation, revenue growth, and long-term asset value
- Ensure alignment with enterprise priorities, transformation initiatives, and functional COE strategies
Operational Excellence & Mountain Operations Leadership
- Own all aspects of resort operations including mountain operations, ski patrol, lift maintenance, snowmaking, snow surfaces, base operations, F&B, ski school, and guest services
- Bring deep, hands-on mountain operations expertise to drive decisions, prioritization, and risk management across both resorts
- Ensure best-in-class execution of safety programs, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness (pre-season through close)
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in reliability, efficiency, and quality of on-mountain and base-area experiences
Guest Experience & Financial Performance
- Deliver on company commitment to providing an “Experience of a Lifetime,” achieving or exceeding all GX, financial, and operational targets
- Own full P&L accountability across both resorts, including cost discipline, labor optimization, and revenue growth across all lines of business
- Identify and execute opportunities to expand ancillary revenue (F&B, rentals, ski school, events, and future summer operations)
- Monitor performance trends and take decisive action to address gaps and capitalize on opportunities
Leadership, Culture & Talent Development
- Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing, engaged leadership team across both resorts
- Build a strong, unified culture focused on safety, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement
- Lead talent planning, succession development, and workforce strategies across year-round and seasonal teams
- Drive accountability through clear goals, performance management, and regular communication
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary representative of Attitash and Wildcat within the local and regional community
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local and state agencies, regulatory bodies, community groups, HOAs, and business partners
- Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics to align resort priorities, capital projects, and long-term development plans
- Establish the resorts as trusted, engaged, and responsible community partners
Capital Planning & Asset Stewardship
- Lead the development and execution of capital plans and major projects across both resorts
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with long-term strategic objectives
- Balance short-term operational needs with long-term infrastructure and growth investments
Cross-Functional Enterprise Leadership
- Partner closely with corporate functions including HR, Finance, IT, Marketing, and other business partners to deliver results
- Actively participate in company-wide leadership forums and best practice sharing
- Influence enterprise strategy through on-the-ground operational insight and industry expertise
Job Requirements:
Experience & Leadership Profile
- Significant executive-level leadership experience in ski resort or complex outdoor recreation operations
- Deep functional expertise in mountain operations (lifts, snowmaking, patrol, terrain management)
- Proven experience leading multi-site or highly complex operations
- Track record of delivering strong financial, operational, and guest experience outcomes
Leadership Capabilities
- Strong operator with the ability to balance strategic thinking and day-to-day execution
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly in complex community environments
- Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and build high-performance cultures
- Ability to drive alignment and clarity in a matrixed, multi-resort operating model
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $110,000 - $156,000 + annual bonus + equity. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
