The Lift Maintenance Supervisor will ensure all scheduled preventative maintenance is completed within manufactures timeline and/or as required by federal/state guidelines. Responsible for the year round daily/nightly operations of lift maintenance. Ensure all departmental safety programs are followed.  Responsible for the timely and fiscally operation of Lift Maintenance. Ensure safety checks of all lifts are performed daily and train all staff to these safety protocols. Position requires knowledge of lift operations and related regulatory compliance. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Immediately report to management any operating condition that is outside of state/federal and company policy or code.
  • Report to the management any maintenance activities performed.
  • Perform all needed maintenance activities for the functional parts of lifts, associated buildings and ramps. Ensure all equipment and areas are kept in neat, orderly, safe and efficient operation condition.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical malfunctions.
  • Observe all employee rules and regulations as well as all applicable safety standards.
  • Demonstrate positive attitude, especially in area of customer service.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance activity that occurs daily.
  • Ensure staffing meets operational needs keeping within a set payroll budget.
  • Conduct safety meetings as required and formal performance evaluations with staff.
  • Act as liaison between outside contractors and the resort


Job Qualifications:


  • Comfortable working in severe weather conditions
  • A flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays 
  • Familiarity with the operation of machinery and procedures for all lifts
  • Must be familiar with state/federal Tramway codes and conduct public transportation systems according to required regulatory/insurance standards
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to partake in heavy work (defined as exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects)
  • Visual acuity necessary for computer terminal use, for extensive reading, for visual inspection involving small defects and small parts, using measurement devices, for inspection involving quality control and assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye or where the seeing job is at or within arms reach
  • Ability to perform physical activities that include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
  • Ability to use, or learn to use, the following equipment: telephone, 2-way radio, computer
  • Proven experience material requisitioning, recruiting, selecting, training and evaluating staff required


  • Electrical, welding and hydraulic experience preferred
  • Previous lift operations experience
