Full Time roles are eligible for the above, plus:

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that all Resort guests have the highest quality food and beverage banquets experience possible.  Manage the flow and proper execution (standard operating procedures) of all banquets functions from inception to the end of the function. Supervise servers to ensure that all servers are executing the function properly. Report to the banquet manager any and all feedback and experiences from each event.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Outlet:  The Arrabelle, The Lodge at Vail
  • Expected Pay Range: $0.01 - $12.25 / hour
    • ​​​​​​​If hired into a tipped position, guaranteed to make a minimum of $20 / hour inclusive of tips
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time
  • Skill Level: Advanced  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting in selection, training, supervision and success of all banquets team members
  • Must be able to delegate authority appropriately to staff members and follow up on all duties and issues to ensure timely completion
  • Must utilize problem resolution acumen with staff and resort guests
  • Chooses to maintain a positive attitude and resolve any negativity within the banquet department culture
  • Is actively involved in the operation through daily interaction with both staff and resort guests
  • Coordinate the proper execution of all BEOs (banquet event orders) and group resumes
  • Responsible for various administrative tasks to include but are not limited to billing, daily captain log and consumption reports for liquor sales
  • Plays an integral role in corrective coaching (disciplinary) and providing positive coaching (praise) whether on the spot or post-shift
  • Must attend weekly BEO, daily operations, and F&B meetings
  • Must have great attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must be able to give and receive candid feedback in an effort to grow personally and as a department
  • Must have excellent customer service skills/experience
  • Food & wine knowledge required
  • Helps with ordering of needed items per BEO's
  • Helps with inventory on a monthly basis
  • Works functions to model great customer service and solicits feedback from group contact or coordinator to ensure the highest level of satisfaction

 

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Minimum of 2 year in upscale food and beverage hotel/resort required. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Previous experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, P.O.S systems
  • Current certification in TIPS required
  • Must be able to communicate professionally in English both written and verbal. 

 

Preferred Skills:

  • College degree in hospitality or business related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 2 year experience in Banquet Supervision and experience in all phases of Banquets operations preferred.

 

The expected pay range is $20.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
