Quick Service Restaurants General Managers are visionary leaders responsible for all facets of our quick service operations, including creating and maintaining a strong safety culture, being a developer of talent, and providing impeccable guest service.

 

Job Specifications

  • Expected Pay Range:  $59,100 - $79,530 + annual bonus
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time / Year Round
  • Skill Level: Advanced
  • Other Specifics: This position will additionally assist in Full Service / Banquet operations outside of winter season as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Achieve company objectives in safety, sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment. 
  • Understand completely and implement all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs for Mountain Dining. 
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times. 
  • Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of operational and professional development. 
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection, timely work-order submissions and by following the resorts preventative maintenance programs. 
  • Oversee and ensure that Vail Resorts policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis. 
  • Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met. 
  • Fully understand and follow all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the operation, employees and guests. 
  • Manage all aspects of quick service dining operations and performance for front and back of house, helping and working in either area, wherever needed, to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage administrative duties including but not limited to menu selection / costing.
  • Accurate, timely management of budgets, purchasing, inventory, and additional records.
  • Perform routine inspections to maintain facility standards for food preparation, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in accordance with laws and regulations
  • Responsible for hiring front of house and back of house quick service staff, scheduling, managing labor budget and developing talent.  Review staff performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction providing recognition or corrective action, including termination, if necessary.   Be knowledgeable of policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures. 
  • Participate in leadership development as well as Resort Leadership Meetings providing feedback and input on dining operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelors or Culinary degree preferred
  • SERV Safe certification or regional equivalent required
  • RAMP or TIPS alcohol server training required.
  • Five (5+) years of restaurant experience with one (1+) years of supervisory experience required.  Experience with high volume, multi-venue operations.   This position will oversee a food court, BBQ outlet, snack bar, tubing concession, bakery and pizza shop.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout a shift, lift and/or carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

 

The expected pay range is $59,100 - $79,530 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
