Snow School Concierge is expected to provide guests of Whistler Blackcomb with assistance that will ensure that they have the ultimate Whistler experience during their stay. This will include the Concierge having good knowledge of the various Whistler establishments/activities, working closely with our private instructors; liaise with other departments and strategic partners and to demonstrate a passion for enhancing the guest’s resort experience. Primarily, our foremost goal will be to increase revenue for our outlets but they assist guests by booking other Whistler restaurants and activities as required.  

 

The Concierge Team will also provide support in other areas, which include shifts in the Snow School Concierge in the Fairmont and Four Seasons Valet, and assisting the Private Lesson Team when required.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reflect at all times a commitment to first-class service by being a high-profile ambassador of Whistler Blackcomb Mountain and Vail Resorts.
  • Provide a high level of service and provide accurate information to our guests as it pertains to all aspects of Whistler Blackcomb Mountain and Vail Resort operations.
  • Provide a high level of service to selected clientele by administering the membership process for myMountain Club, myMountain Club Elite and the Loyalty program accurately.
  • Ensure the utmost of service levels and literary detail in all aspects of communication, by phone, email, and written communication.
  • Actively promote the use of myMountain Club specific perks to eligible members.
  • Spend time on introduction to as many of the instructors as possible. Attend privates training sessions to introduce what the concierge has to offer to their clients.
  • Work with professionalism in an office based role, and also have transferrable skills to work efficiently in a frontline role.
  • Through inbound and outbound calls (from pros and clients) and emails actively promote and provide the concierge services to selected Snow School clientele.
  • Be available to the pros on a daily basis for any concierge needs for their clients.
  • Work closely with the scheduling team to ensure the pros scheduling needs.
  • Handle all telephone inquiries and complaints in a professional and competent manner employing a win-win attitude.
  • Take ownership and follow up as required with all guests, with employing effective communication with your peers.
  • Liaise with the appropriate departments on reservations and special requests from clients.
  • Work with Whistler Heli-ski on booking their clients into the Intro to Heli-ski private lesson.
  • Know and be up-to-date on all prices, programs, events and policies of Whistler Blackcomb.
  • Will be required to work at the frontline sales locations; including the Snow School Concierge in the Four Seasons and Fairmont when needed and may be scheduled regularly at the frontline sales locations, as well as assisting the Private Lesson Team.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and expansion of the guest database and ensuring to accurately collect guest information at all times.
  • Coordinate the collection of information in order to pre-print vouchers, gift card creation and communication to pros to pick up in advance for clients.
  • Assist with additional duties set by the supervisor and/or manager when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate our core values: Serve Others, Do Right, Drive Value, Do Good, Be Safe, Have Fun, and Be Inclusive.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Previous work in busy office environment essential with administrative skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Team player, enthusiastic, positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Whistler/Blackcomb Operations and the Guest Connect System is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Whistler Village and area an asset
  • Previous experience with computerized sales and reservations systems.
  • Minimum 65 words per minute typing.
  • Previous high end sales or guest service related experience.
  • Proof of clear criminal record check.
