Primary Functions:

The Revenue Manager is responsible for the analysis of revenue, profit, and demand associated with Lodging Ovations located in Creekside, Whistler Blackcomb inventory.  Accountable for the preparation of pricing, budgets, and forecasts and analysis in the progress to achieving the established levels. As the year occurs, you will help to create critiques on the effectiveness of the sales strategies put into practice and serve as the supply and demand expert to the rest of the local Resort and Corporate Revenue Management Team.

 

As the Lodging Ovations Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing room revenue which requires active management of fractional owner’s calendars. The successful candidate will have demonstrated learning agility and bring a curious approach to the role. This is a twelve month position while the incumbent is on Maternity Leave.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares information, including competitive pricing/positioning, pace and pickup, to review in weekly sales strategy meetings.
  • Implements all rate, restriction, and inventory changes in appropriate distribution channels.
  • Manages all revenue, profit, and demand data associated with rooms and function space.
  • Establishes optimal Market Mix and works with GM/RDOS to implement. Includes performing displacement analysis on all segments of the business.
  • Assists the sales leaders in setting group ceiling recommendations.
  • Prepares pricing recommendations for Benchmark, RACK, Promotional, Packages, etc.
  • Prepares yearly lodging revenue budget and forecasts at a 30-60-90 day cycle.
  • Analysis of revenue and profit opportunity (historical and future).
  • Develops and/or utilizes analytical tools and systems toward the goal of maximizing revenue and profit.
  • Actively manages Owners calendars to ensure maximum rooms are available for sale.
  • Works closely with RRW Reservations Team and GDS to ensure reservations are booked correctly
  • Local Inntopia and LMS expert

 

Discipline Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience practicing revenue management discipline in Lodging made up of Hotel, Property Management, and Vacation Rentals.  Experience in a seasonal resort environment and/or Whistler/Blackcomb a plus.
  • Knowledge of revenue management / operations research principles and concepts.
  • Strong understanding of the Resort Lodging sales process – Both Transient and Group.
  • Successful working in a demand generation environment.
  • Familiarity with various hotel systems – Reservations, Revenue Management System, Distribution, PMS,  Sales and Catering, etc.(Inntopia, Synxis, LMS, and/or FDC a plus)

 

Skill Set Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical skills including spreadsheet and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of spreadsheet software, database management, and analytical tools.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Managed analytical projects.
  • Ensures integrity of data configuration in various systems to provide accurate tracking.
  • Curious with demonstrated learning agility.
