Based at the top of Blackcomb Mountain Rendezvous  latest menu includes a wok station dishing up customized southeast Asian noodle and rice bowls; a fresh Mexican counter with burritos, tacos and salads; a burger bar using only fresh, naturally raised, hormone and antibiotic-free beef; and a new and improved espresso bar.
 

This summer (June-September) we're looking for a Lead Hand to join the team.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Striving to exceed our Guests' expectations and to create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experience again and again
  • Act in MOD capacity on Assistant Manager’s days off.
  • Assist with all inventory controls.
  • Be accountable for all cash control procedures.
  • Assist with employee training, development and communication.
  • Provide quality control on all products and services.
  • Assist with scheduling and labour controls.
  • Promote a fair, harmonious, work environment.
  • Assisting with preparation for catering and special events.
  • Ensuring fair and consistent disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Maintaining a high standard of service and presentation at all times.
  • Being knowledgeable about all menu items; including daily specials.
  • Ensuring the accurate ringing in of all sales and preparing an accurate cash-out at the end of the day.
  • We are a company that works together and throughout the season you may be required to assist other departments as needed.

What we need from you:

  • Strong customer interaction skills.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Administrative experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Food Safe Certificate.
  • Serving it Right Certificate
  • Satisfactory criminal record check
  • Previous reception work is an asset
  • 2 years’ experience working in a full service restaurant
