Job Summary:

To effectively manage the staff and group lesson products for the Adult Snow School in order to meet or exceed the shareholder value, guest satisfaction and employee experience objectives of the Whistler/Blackcomb Snow School.


Budget Responsibility and Administrative Duties:

  • To meet all Adult Snow School objectives
  • To assess financial performance and adjust operations - daily, weekly and monthly as needed to exceed targets and goals
  • To demonstrate knowledge of all Whistler/Blackcomb Snow School’s and WhistlerBlackcomb programs, lessons, special events, promotions, policies and procedures
  • Provide training and leadership for supervisory staff in the following areas: fiscal responsibility, lesson quality, and employee engagement


Employee Satisfaction:

  • To create an environment and culture within the Adult Snow School in which the employee engagement is recognized to be crucial to the success of the School
  • To ensure all necessary staff are hired and trained to deliver a product that exceeds our Guest’s expectations
  • Develop Talent: Lead training sessions and provide personal and professional development for supervisors and staff


Guest Satisfaction:

  • To ensure all staff adopt a “here to help..” approach that consistently exceeds guest’s expectations and provides them with the finest mountain recreational experience
  • To ensure Guest Relations, Sales and Marketing are informed of programs to best utilize these departments for increased sales and marketing opportunities
  • Review and develop plans to constantly improve EEX scores


Development and Planning:

  • To plan and develop facilities as required
  • Operate under the “One School’ mantra of Whistler Blackcomb
  • Responsible for Scheduling of set programs – Work closely with the Scheduling Team
  • Demonstrate creativity and innovative when developing programs for the Adult Snow School



  • Operating a vehicle is an essential function of this position and will require the applicant to meet the minimum requirements of the WB Driver’s Standards Policy

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for skiing/snowboarding and teaching
  • Proven leadership skills, planning ability and vision
  • Proven financial understanding, record keeping and proven past positive financial results
  • Problem solver, self motivated/self directed
  • Extensive Snow School management experience
  • Minimum CSIA Level III or CASI III certification
  • Ability to type 25 wpm
  • Previous experience in staff training and development
  • Required to complete a satisfactory criminal record check


Position Status: Full time/Salary/Seasonal


Seasonal positions can be differentiated from year-round jobs as they have predefined start dates and end dates. These dates may vary due to seasonal fluctuations in business.

Duration: September 7th, 2021 – May 6th 2022 for a one year term.
