Nestled at the base of Vail Mountain, in the heart of the renowned Vail Village, The Lodge at Vail combines a perfect location and exemplary service with the famously classic ambiance of an alpine-inspired Vail resort. Housed in the legendary Lodge at Vail hotel, Cucina at the Lodge is a breakfast only restaurant that offers a hearty menu inspired by the mountains.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Is professional and gracious while enhancing the dining experience by providing outstanding service.
  • Complete side work such as; Stocking, polishing silver, glass and dishware, setting, bussing and clearing tables, trash and recycling removal, expediting food, serving food and drinks, waiting tables etc.
  • Follows all brand standards to ensure proper timing and steps of service are met. 
  • Guide guests through the menu, take the guests order, accurately place the order in the POS and ensure timely delivery of all items. 
  • Responsible for checking back with guests to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change
  • Responsible for keeping tables, dining room and service station clean and tidy
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
  • Have a working knowledge of the entire menu.
  • Responsible for knowing all table numbers and seat numbers.
  • Be proficient on the POS system.
  • Be willing and able to help out where needed.
  • Adhere to all state health and regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service.


  • High school diploma or equivalent. -required  
  • Must have a friendly and courteous attitude towards guests - required.
  • Current TIPS certification for responsible service of alcohol. -required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a server in a Food & Beverage hotel/resort. -preferred
  • Must be able to effectively present detailed information both verbally and in written form to guests and fellow employees. -required
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex correspondence. -required 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal. -required
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds. -required
  • Experienced in all phases of Beverage operations. -preferred 
  • Point of Sales experience. –preferred
