Oversee the clubhouse and dining experience at the Vail Mountain Club, with responsibilities in both the front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

  • Serve members efficiently, courteously and promptly while they are enjoying the Club and maintain strict confidentiality of all members.
  • Have excellent knowledge of Vail Mountain and surrounding areas, and assist members with questions regarding such, including:  dining options, activities within the town as well as the Club, or other weekly happenings. 
  • Assist staff and management in the set-up and maintenance of breakfast and replenish plates as needed to make sure it is full the entirety of breakfast.  Make back-up plates of all breakfast items for busier times, like holidays and weekends, to ensure all items are replenished in a timely manner.
  • Make sure all breakfast serving dishes are clean and in good condition, replacing/washing as needed to ensure a clean and organized looking buffet. 
  • Assist in prepping and maintaining afternoon soups, salads, and snacks following simple recipes and dependent on assigned specific duty for the day.
  • Complete daily side work and cleaning duties throughout the day
  • Serve members beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, as requested.  Learn how to make simple cocktail drinks and charge members for alcoholic beverages using the bar computer and their member accounts.
  • Assist with daily stocking and re-stocking of all product, and alert management when running low on supplies or food product. 
  • Assist Management in planning, organizing and implementing all menus and service for meals and events
  • Directly supervise kitchen staff and holiday help
  • Must understand that this position requires leadership skills and the ability to train current and new staff
  • Must be TIPS certified
  • Must be ServeSafe certified


  • Previous Supervisory experience - preferred
  • Previous bartending experience - preferred
  • Previous culinary experience (line and/or prep)  - preferred
  • Club experience - preferred
  • College education or culinary degree - preferred
  • Flexible hours including weekends and holidays - required
  • Well organized and well-spoken with a strong attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to train current and new staff to comply with all policies and procedures as well as Club operations
