JOB OVERVIEW:

The Chef Concierge oversees the Concierge team to ensure complete guest satisfaction and provide all guests with a successful experience during their stay, by providing information and services in order to both meet and exceed guest needs and expectations. The Chef Concierge plays a vital role in assisting the team with guest recognition. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. 
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.  Use equipment only as intended. 
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. 
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times. 
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. 
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. 
  • Maintain complete knowledge at all times of all hotel features/services, hours of operation. 
  • Provide information, recommendations and booking services for a variety of guest inquiries, including, but not limited to, directions, hours of outlet operation, hotel services, transportation and travel arrangements, tour and event tickets, restaurant reservations, and medical care.  
  • Arrange and confirm recreational, business and dining activities both inside and outside the hotel for guests.  
  • Respond to special requests for services including, but not limited to, dentists, doctors, childcare, florists, etc.  
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate, some college. 
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in hospitality or tourism related industry, preferable in a luxury hotel Concierge, Front Office, and/or Guest Services operations. 
  • Minimum 3-year experience in a similar capacity as a manager in a luxury hotel. 
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal. 
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Able to motivate a team of employees and possess excellent attention to detail. 
  • Able to handle the stress of a deadline. 
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the local area and the ability to provide valid and relevant directions, recommendations and resources to enable successful fulfillment of guest requests. 
  • Familiarity with local attractions, exhibits, shows, concerts, entertainment, shopping and other activities is imperative. 
  • Assure guest expectations are exceeded through effective leadership, guidance, training of team. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead by example. 
  • Compute basic arithmetic. 
  • Must be comfortable using Lightspeed & Alice 
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize and organize; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data; ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training; direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when needed. 

Preferred: 

  • College degree. 
  • Fluency in a second language. 
  • Previous supervisory experience. 
  • Member of Les Clef’s d’Or strongly preferred

 

The budgeted range starts at $62,000 - $81,150 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
