The Interpretive Specialist is reponsible for developing, planning, and coordinating interpretive programs for Flagg Ranch Company within the confines of its Contract and Operating Plan. This position wil develop, plan, coordinate, and direct orientation, educational, and interpretive materials to maximize employee and visitor opportunities to make personal connections with the meanings and significance of the John D. Rockefeller Memoral Parkway, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. This includes history, geology, ecology, flora, and fauna.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partner with the Senior Interpretive Specialist to develop, review, and implement park knowledge and interpretive curriculum and programs.
Train and evaluate seasonal personnel engaged in interpretation.
Provide guest interpretation activities on a weekly basis at Flagg Ranch and Colter Bay Village. Provide coverage at Jackson Lake Lodge and Jenny Lake Lodge when needed.
Research, develop and implement interpretive themes, including lectures, exhibits, audio-visual programs, visitor activities and publications for use by interpretive staff.
Research, develop, and conduct interpretive lectures, exhibit, educational programs, audio-visual programs, visitor activities, and publications.
Assist in the development and implementation of Comprehensive Interpretive Plans for Headwaters Lodge & Cabins.
Recommend budget requests and tracks expenditures for interpretation operations.
Assist in the research and development of natural and cultural resource interpretive materials and exhibits.
The “must haves” for this position include:
General knowledge of policies, programs and procedures related to National Park Service Interpretation and Business departments.
Ability to produce written documentation that is technically complete, grammatically correct, and neat.
Valid drivers license, Successful completion of MVR
