The Front Desk Manager is expected to have complete knowledge of the daily operation and know what is expected by each department head and the General Manager. This individual should  have vast knowledge of each Grand Teton Lodge Company property and the services offered. The Front Desk Manager is responsable for the supervision and training of all Front Desk Clerks on computer system and Front Office procedures. Assists Assistant General Manager with room management.  Directly oversees Front Desk operations at Colter Bay Village.  You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety.  You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.


Responsabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Trains Front Desk Clerks in Front Desk procedures and Grand Teton Lodge Company policies.
  • Schedules Front Desk staff and ensures proper coverage for all hours of operation.
  • Handles daily room blocking and advance special request blockings.
  • Coordinates daily room status with Executive Housekeeper.
  • Operate bank to make change as needed for all cashiers at Colter Bay.
  • Functions as a Front Desk Clerk as needed
  • Follows all company procedures and policies as required by personnel and EH&S office.
  • Other duties as assigned


The “must haves” for this position include:

  • 1 year of previous front office experience
  • Good computer skills and familiarization of property management systems
  • Excellent Customer Service and problem solving skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure


We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required:

  • Knowledge of Grand Teton National Park and surrounding area
  • Working knowledge of maintenance
  • Knowledge of Visual One
  • Hospitality Background
