The Senior Manager of Base Operations will oversee all facilities and buildings as well as winter and summer grounds. 


  • Responsible for buildings and property within a New Hampshire State Park. Will understand the relationship and stewardship necessary with the buildings and grounds.


  • Direct the Mount Sunapee parking manager with both winter and summer parking as needed.  Duties will include maintenance of parking lots, walkways, guest entrances and employee entrances.  Responsible for Winter Plowing and Spring cleanup at Mount Sunapee Sate Park beach


  • Maintain and upkeep of Parking lot #1, #2, #3 and satellite Mount Sunapee State Park Beach parking lot.


  • Oversee Shuttle bus operations including shuttle bus maintenance schedule in conjunction with Vehicle Maintenance manager, scheduling of CDL licensed drivers, schedule of shuttle truck drivers and scheduling of summer shuttle bus operations.


  • Direct janitorial staff or contractors for winter season nightly cleaning of Sunapee Lodge, Spruce Lodge, Administration offices, Ski School, Ski Patrol & Summit Lodge.


  • Create and manage budgets for Base Operations, Grounds, Parking Operations, Shuttle Bus Operations & Janitorial services.


  • Responsible for hiring of Base Operations, Janitorial & Shuttle operations Staff including FTYR and Seasonal staff.  Support and assist manager hiring for parking department.


  • Position will support all Mount Sunapee departments with maintenance support for guest facing and internal guest operations, transportation as needed & janitorial needs.


  • Support Mount Sunapee Special events including liquor control and contracted security services with service level demands & cost controls for special events.


  • Forward thinking and multi-tasking.  Responsible for Capital improvement budget and implementation.



  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in Resort operations or other multi-faceted operations.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading multiple operational departments
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to learn new systems for hiring, payroll, and online ordering
  • Proven ability to manage complex budget
  • Ability to work under tight timelines.
  • Must be able to be friendly and outgoing due to direct public contact throughout the resort
  • Ability to create schedules and assign work tasks
  • Ability to assist in training and engaging employees
