The Senior Specialist will report directly to the Ski Area Building Maintenance Senior Manager.  This position will act as the point of contact for the department & is responsible for developing, monitoring, and reconciling department budgets, P&L forecasts and variances. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, productivity and efficiency with the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment. This is a highly trustworthy position with the expectation to maintain confidentiality with respect to files, records, and conversations. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of building or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of building systems
  • Ability to work with outside contractors

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance in conjunction with department managers
  • Plan and facilitate recurring contracted services, including budgeting to execution of services
  • Compile and update PM procedures & schedules for facilities & equipment
  • Update equipment records and building documentation including safety regulations.
  • Assist with purchasing and receiving for the department in accordance with procurement and accounting policies.
  • Assist in the development and scheduling of department specific safety training
  • Administer the work request system.
  • Monitor Capital Project expenses in conjunction with project manager.
  • Manage, update, and monitor the Basic Service Agreements and Contractors list for the Department.
  • Assist with new applicants and hiring processes.
  • Allocate available resources to enable successful task performance.
  • Organize orientation and training of new staff members as necessary.
  • Establish and monitor procedures for record keeping, ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
  • Co-ordinate schedules, appointments and bookings as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment and abide by all safety rules and regulations
  • Manage other miscellaneous duties as needed
