The Sales Manager will be responsible for growing and driving group business for all lines of business within the local regional market for Stevens Pass. This position prospects for new business, contacts potential clients, creates sales presentations/proposals, negotiates deliverables, and facilitates sales contracts. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Resort Sales and will be required to work closely with the Group Sales Service Manager.


  • Continually strive to exceed guest expectations and create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experience again and again.
  • Solicit, negotiate and secure new accounts/leads, as well as maintain current client relationships.
  • Support and contribute to the goals of the team and recommend revenue producing activities and strategies for implementation.
  • Develop and nurture strong partnerships with key contacts including group leaders, event planners, and membership organizations.
  • Participate in networking activities/events, build relationships and secure new business. Have a strong presence in the local market. Participate in FAMS, Sites, Entertainment, Tradeshows and Industry events where necessary.
  • Maintenance of Delphi FDC.
  • Develop and nurture strong partnerships with internal departments to ensure flawless delivery of all functions, events, products and services.
  • Responsible for recommending strategies to develop new business opportunities within respective markets, creating monthly action plans.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required. Prepare pre and post trip reports for sales calls.
  • Participate with Vail Resorts Regional team to ensure Resort involvement and maximize sales potential via this team.
  • Other duties as assigned.



    • College degree preferred


    • A minimum of 2-4 years of sales experience
    • Proven track record of sales skills and success


    • Micrsoft Office to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word
    • Salesforce (Delphi.FDC)
    • SendSites
    • Social media and mobile devices


    • English


    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships
    • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
    • Well organized with thorough prospecting and follow up skills
    • Leadership & management skills and experience
    • Strong network of connections within Stevens Pass
    • Hospitality/Tourism Marketing experience is an asset
    • Analytical and strategic planning skills are an asset
