Communication Coordinator is responsible for daily phone, radio and email correspondence in the Guest Relations office. The tasks include providing general resort and destination information and directing phone and email inquiries to specific departments. Providing ongoing cashier guidance and coaching to the Guest Relations/Ticket team. Has excellent verbal communication skills and high level of computer skills including attention to detail, season pass/ticket problem solving and data entry.


  • A minimum of two-year experience working in customer service involving product sales, support and face-to-face guest interaction.
  • A minimum of two year cashiering experience, including data entry proficiency.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solves and develops solutions that will have a positive impact on the customer as well as the resort revenue and operations.
  • Ability to follow specific departmental procedures and service guidelines.
  • Must be detail orientated, have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the demeanor to serve as a spokesperson for the area.
  • Excellent guest service skills; in person, over the phone and radio.  
  • Must be positive, energetic, and upbeat and able to handle a fast paced, multi-task environment.
  • Must be a team player that is comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal operation.
  • Excellent product knowledge and can provide information to match the guest needs.


  • Set and uphold service standard and strive to deliver outstanding guest service.
  • Process transactions in accordance to resort and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Main contact in the “Hot spot” working with the Scan Team to troubleshoot ticket and pass issues at gate.
  • Answer general resort and destination questions and provide accurate directions.
  • Monitor assigned email accounts and phone lines. Respond professionally and in a timely manner to all inquiries.
  • Ability to handle high volumes of customer interaction while delivering exceptional service; internal & external.
  • Perform opening and closing duties.
  • Uphold specific departmental procedures.
  • Assists with documents and data entry.
  • Assist in verifying daily bank and safe counts
  • Monitor office supply inventory control.
  • Answer phones and radio; provide general mountain information, and direct calls to specific departments.
  • Cross-train into other areas to broaden job knowledge and experience when appropriate.
  • Provide administrative support as directed, such as, filing and alphabetizing.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Managers and Supervisors and Senior Management Team.
