Job Summary

A Team Lead is responsible for a zone of several lifts and all associated leadership and front-line staff. The ideal candidate will be someone who is a natural leader with a positive and professional attitude. They will assist lift operations management by holding themselves and their team accountable to all ANSI, OSHA, department and company safety standards.

Job Responsiblities

  • Supervise technical training for staff in assigned zone, as well as assist in facilitation of department training sessions as needed.
  • Train how to use a variety of tools to reshape and maintain snow surfaces to specification.
  • Operator lifts and perform snow removal when necessary.
  • Implement, maintain and coach safety in the work place. Act as a positive advocate for our safety culture.
  • Promote and demonstrate positive and professional guest service at all times.
  • Professionally resolve employee issues and guest complaints.
  • Ensure employees have knowledge of and follow company and department policies at all times. I.E. grooming, attitude, proper uniform, attendance and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist with scheduling and building strong cohesive crews for their assigned zone.
  • Perform regular operational audits and assist with performance reviews as well as provide input for promotions and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversight, collection, and auditing of lift logs to ensure proper completion.
  • Be responsible for timely completion of training and development documentation for their teams, attend required management skills classes and be contributing and accountable members of our management team.
  • Be vigilant of any unusual or unsafe situations. Show initiative in handling routine matters and quick, thoughtful judgement in emergency situations.
  • Provide performance feedback to supervised team, as well as building and deliver written performance reviews for your section of lifts. This includes employee goal setting and recognition of staff.
  • Responsible for coordinating opening and closing procedures, and all daily operating tasks of the crew.
  • Promote neat, clean and organized work stations. 
  • Assist with the development of department strategic plans.
  • Demonstrate exemplary attendance, punctuality, behavior and grooming/appearance standards. 
  • Assist with conducting interviews for Operators and Leads as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by resort leaders.

 

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years previous Lift Operations or Lift Maintenance Experience
  • minimum of 2 years of a crew of 10 or more subordinates
  • Valid Driver's License without restrictions
  • Familiar with basic Microsoft applications
  • Must be able to fluently read, write, and undersand English
  • Ability to ski or snowobard at a level 7 ability if necessary
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a high work ethic and strong moral ethics
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays are required. Some ability to work evenings is preferred but not necessary for most positions.
  • Ski or snowboard at an intermediate level (if not you will be assigned to lifts that do not require you to ski or ride to get to your work station, there are limited positions)

 

 

The budgeted range starts at $22.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
