Job Summary:

We are looking for a candidate that is positive, self-motivated, detailed oriented, and can lead a quality staff. This is a unique opportunity to join our team at Pennsylvania’s Outdoor Adventure Headquarters, Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Inc. 

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $20 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full Time and Part Time
  • Skill Level: Entry

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Wash, dry and iron all linen from the hotel, cabins/chalets and condominiums/townhomes. 

  • Receives and sorts linen. Tags stained and worn items. 

  • Weighs and records weight of all linen before it is washed. 

  • Operates automatic iron and press to finish clean linen. 

  • Sorts dried articles according to identification numbers or type. 

  • Ensures cleanliness of laundry area and equipment. 

  • Other duties that may be assigned by supervisor. 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other staff members of the organization. 

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. 

  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and risk electrical shock. 

  • Frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals in cleaning products 

  • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles 

  • Noise levels are quiet. 

 

Personal Protective Equipment Recommended & Required 

  • Recommended – Footwear that you can comfortably stand, or walk in, occasionally on a wet surface. 

 

The expected pay range is $20. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
