As Team Lead of Ticket Scanning you are the operational leader of the Ticket Scanning Department. You are the owner of our daily on-snow ticket scanning operations and will collaborate with the rest of the leadership team in providing the experience of a lifetime for our employees and guests. Your goal – create a fun, effective scanning environment that allows the team to be successful at every level.

  • Creating a team of professional, guest service oriented, and accurate Ticket Scanners
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all products, service initiatives, and scanning processes
  • Cultivating a friendly, fun environment for the experience of a lifetime for Ticket Scanners and guests
  • Promoting, embracing, and adhering to Vail Resorts’ Mission and Core Values
  • Working on the frontline, scanning tickets as needed
  • Professionally resolving and elevating ticket scanning challenges and guest service opportunities
  • Providing feedback and development opportunities to ticket scanning staff
  • Taking ownership of daily scanning operations
  • Taking initiative to improve operations and experiences
  • Performing other duties as appropriate

Professional Requirements:

  • Passion for guest service and the ski and snowboard industry
  • Organization, accountability, responsibility, and punctuality
  • Enthusiasm, with an engaging personality and exceptional communication skills
  • Professional guest service experience
  • Previous Vail Resorts leadership experience with Ticket Scanning experience preferred

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Aptitude to communicate effectively
  • Ability to stay enthusiastic and perform well in busy and stressful situations
  • Ability to work outside, on your feet, in all weather conditions for long periods of time
  • Ability to make independent decisions, and take ownership of outcomes
  • Ability to work holidays and weekends as necessary
