As Ticket Scanning Lead you are a key leader of the Ticket Scanning Department. You are the owner of the daily on-snow ticket scanning operations at your assigned lift and collaborate with the rest of the leadership team to provide the experience of a lifetime for our employees and guests. Your goal – create a fun, effective scanning environment that allows the team to be successful at every level.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a team of professional, guest service oriented, and accurate ticket scanners
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all products, service initiatives, and scanning processes
  • Cultivating a friendly, fun environment for the experience of a lifetime for ticket scanners and guests
  • Promoting, embracing, and adhering to Vail Resorts’ Mission and Core Values
  • Scanning Lift Tickets and Passes
  • Providing friendly and helpful guest service
  • Ensuring accuracy of lift passes and tickets, and enforcing ticketing rules
  • Fixing ticket issues
  • Professionally resolving and elevating ticket scanning challenges and guest service opportunities
  • Providing feedback to ticket scanners
  • Taking ownership of daily scanning operations at assigned lift
  • Taking initiative to improve operations and experiences

Professional Requirements:

  • Passion for guest service and the ski and snowboard industry
  • Accountability, responsibility, and punctuality
  • Enthusiasm, with an engaging personality and exceptional communication skills
  • Professional guest service experience preferred

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Aptitude to communicate effectively
  • Ability to stay enthusiastic and perform well in busy and stressful situations
  • Ability to work outside, on your feet, in all weather conditions for long periods of time
  • Ability to make independent decisions, and take ownership of outcomes
  • Ability to work holidays and weekends as necessary
