Housing Coordinator - Northstar California Resort  - Start Date:  November 1st

Housing Coordinator – Northstar California Resort

The housing coordinator position will be based out of Northstar California Resort. The primary function of this role is to aid and assist our employee population in securing housing for the winter season. This person must be outgoing, organized and be able to think outside of the box. Our housing needs are crucial to the success of our business here at Northstar.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, implement and/or supervise programs and services in support of assigned housing program.
  • Develop and maintain pro-active relationships with local apartment leasing offices, property managers, home owners associations, hostels, hotels, and other housing opportunities in order to source any housing leads or availability in the North Lake Tahoe area.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures on housing, which may include eligibility, lease agreements, petitions, retention, emergency or temporary housing, and special interest housing.
  • Develop and maintain housing information materials.  Organize monthly meetings, and/or activities for occupants.
  • Partner with resort leadership to identify and execute on housing programs, specific to Northstar California Ski Resort.
  • Assist employees/managers in fielding appropriate roommate and housing opportunities; Report any “scams” to the appropriate authorities.
  • Manage and update communication of housing/roommate opportunities through social media, phone, email, or other venues on a daily basis.
  • Oversee and manage all housing charges and billing to include deposits, application fees, monthly rent collections, utilities or any other billing associated with employee housing.
  • Oversee and coordinate with Base Operations repairs, maintenance orders, and security issues.
  • Provide monthly data reports on occupancy, utility usage, rent violations, maintenance requests, and other metrics associated with employee housing.
  • Ensure that occupants are upholding housing policies. Respond to tenant complaints within 24 hrs.
  • Facilitate monthly inspections, move-in/move-out inspections of all units. 
  • Support and communicate employee rideshare programs as well as employee shuttle programs, as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee/tenant personal information and
  • Assist HR Front Desk and Employee Center as needed during employee events, orientations, and shift coverage as needed. 
  • Complete required Uniform Management System, Peoplesoft and RPOS training.
  • Complete all other assignments or special projects as assigned or needed in a timely manner.


This position will average about 35 hours per week; The current duration of this role will be from November to August.
