F&B Assistant Manager – Village F&B Kiosks - FT Winter Seasonal - Northstar California

The F&B Assistant Manager works under the direction of the General Manager and functions as second in command. Responsible for supporting a high quality food and beverage experience for guests.  Provides instruction/direction to staff.  Enforces policies and procedures.  Assists in controlling overall facility costs.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluates, and directs staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established goals and objectives.  Ensures that all employees receive the training, support, guidance, feedback, and resources necessary.
  • Leads by example supporting and promoting Vail Resort policies, procedures uniform and grooming standards.
  • Promotes a safety culture through 100% training and sign off on all SJOPs, TIPS Training, Cutting Edge Safety Video, CA state food handlers card
  • Promotes guest service with goals present in all training programs and daily activity.
  • Schedules and ensures completion of department orientation, company orientation for all F&B staff.
  • Responsible for providing quality guest experiences within resort operations.
  • Ability to delegate responsibility, motivate and lead direct reports to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Familiarity with state and federal environmental standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Understanding of corporate and resort specific policies and procedures.
  • Performs job performance evaluation by observing employees’ daily job performance. Administer written employee performances annually (or mid-season). 
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting in daily food service tasks as assigned or as needed.
  • Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
  • Meet service level objectives and departmental goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.

 Requirements:

  • Four year college degree preferred
  • 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Industry certifications include TIPS Responsible Service of Alcohol and CA food handlers card

Preferred Skills: 

  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure/high volume and solve customer problems or issues.
  • Good organization and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, guests, and customers to provide excellent service
