Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $21 per hour
  • Effective October 2022 minimum wage will be increased to $20 per hour.
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time

 

Janitors clean and remove garbage at all public restrooms, common area spaces, and offices owned & operated at Northstar California. Duties include organizing, restocking and cleaning all Janitor closets at each location. Deep cleaning of carpets as needed. Most work is located within Village at Northstar, but does include office spaces in base area, golf clubhouse, and some mountain locations. Also includes daily cleaning and garbage removal at Timber Creek Lodge common area spaces. This position is leading teams either for day shift or night shift.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Training and supervision of all janitorial staff.
  • Ensure proper scheduling of all shifts for proper coverage according to occupancy.
  • Discipline, reward and develop employees as necessary.
  • Help ensure all company and department policies are followed by all staff.
  • Ensure proper supplies and maintain proper levels of supplies for staff use.
  • Maintain high morale, sense of professionalism in all staff.
  • Ensure proper motivation of all employees.
  • Daily inspection of public restrooms and common areas to ensure proper cleanliness and maintenance of these areas to meet or exceed company brand standards.
  • Other duties assigned by Janitorial Manager.
  • Oversight of 3rd party labor and approval/verification of their timesheets

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid US driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Payroll and Inventory experience - helpful
  • 3+ years Janitorial or Custodial experience  - required
  • 3+ years’ experience of supervisory or management of employees  - required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) – highly preferred
  • Prioritizing, assigning and coordinating Janitorial functions and requests for all shifts including monitoring radio calls and organizing staff in an efficient manner
  • Supervision, training/coaching, brand standard implementation, handling guest challenges with care and concern, and ensuring requests are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Inspection according to standards as assigned by section, correcting deficiencies and notifying management on deficiencies
  • Replenishing toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and other supplies in all restrooms
  • Conduct inspections. Communicate any maintenance needs to maintenance team.
  • Other projects and responsibilities as needed.

The budgeted range starts at $21 - $24.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
