Job Summary:

The assistant manager will report directly to the Executive Manager regarding all Housekeeping operations. In the absence of the Executive Manager, the AM is the leader for the dept. The primary function will be administrative, management and operational support for the department. The position requires a high level of organizational, leadership and communication skills. The assistant manager will assist in scheduling, time and labor, inventory, and quality management of the entire housekeeping team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Executive Manager in all housekeeping operations
  • Answer phones and respond to emails from other depts./corporate office
  • Produce excellent verbal and written communications to all staff and depts.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly staff schedule, approve time and labor
  • Keep all dept. stakeholders abreast of all information regarding property condition and other important information
  • Assist in inspecting properties prior to guest arrivals and communicating found issues/concerns
  • Schedule contractors and other outside vendor work
  • Assist in running month end reports for all billing, warranty and revenue accounts
  • Assist Executive Manager in interviews, onboarding/off boarding and discipline of employees
  • Assist Executive Manager in annual, weekly, monthly budgets
  • Assist Executive Manager in purchasing all needed supplies/goods for the dept.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree
  • 2 years administrative experience
  • 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook
  • English
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
