The Ticket Scanning Team Lead is responsible for all daily operations of the Ticket Scanning department.  The qualified candidate should embody professional conduct and demonstrate a high level of guest service to both internal and external guests.  The ticket scanning team lead should be friendly, make it easy, and pay attention to detail at all times.


Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling of all full and part-time staff.
  • Development of staff through training, coaching, and driving expectations.
  • Monitoring time and labor in order to align staffing levels to budget and business volumes.
  • Resolve ticket and season pass problems with the help of the ticket office.
  • Professional and effective communication with guests and internal departments.  Frequent contacts include Ticket Sales, Lift Operations, Kirkwood Security, Mountain Safety, and Ski Patrol.
  • Revenue control for all ticket/pass products through verifying on-mountain access for all guest.
  • Investigation of fraudulent season pass and lift ticket usage.
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times in stressful situations.
  • Problem solve guest and staff issues with professionalism.
  • Expand understanding of product offerings and scope of services throughout the resort. This role is expected to efficiently answer questions and resolve issues.
  • Maintain safe areas of operation.
  • Follow instructions given by manager.
  • Work on a team environment.
  • Present yourself in a professional manner and adhere to company guidelines on grooming/attire.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with PSS Manager and SRS PSS Manager
  • Have fun!


  • Fluent in all aspects of English – required
  • Three (3) years guest service experience – required
  • Two (2) years of previous lead or supervisory experience– required
  • Prior ticket scanning experience – preferred
  • Willing to work outdoors in all alpine winter weather conditions – required
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand for the entire work shift.
  • Able to commit to entire season – required
