This Position is for all levels of Snowmakers!

As a Snowmaker you will be working long hours in a fast paced high risk job. Safety is Paramount! Acute personal awareness, prudent judgement, physical fitness, coordination and fortitude are characteristics snowmakers should possess.  You will be exposed to variable weather and surface conditions in a high alpine environment. You will be working with high pressure water (up to 800psi) and high pressure air (up to 100psi), high voltage and significant decibels. During a typical shift you will walk, ski or board, ride chair lifts, drive snowmobiles or be transported by snowcat to set up and operate snowmaking equipment. You will maintain snowmaking guns and hoses making frequent moves and adjustments. Working with hand tools when performing general repair and maintenance on the snowmaking equipment. You will work closely with other Mountain Operations departments: Grooming, World Cup Race, Ski Patrol, Lift Maintenance, Fleet maintenance, Lift Operations. Snowmaking begins and ends before other winter operations and is a great feeder job for other Beaver Creek jobs. This important role is critical to getting the ski season up and running. We have positions available for people with little or no experience, to those with years of operator prowess!

General Entry-Level Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Adheres to all snowmaking policies, safety guidelines and best practice procedures at all times.
  • Assist crew lead in set up, operation, and breakdown of snowmaking guns and hoses.
  • Support the snowmaking team in ensuring the highest quality of manmade snow for Beaver Creek Resort.
  • Ability to work any shift including day, night and swing shifts.
  • Safe and efficient operation of trucks, snowmobiles and a variety of other snowmaking equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High School diploma or equivalent - required.
  • Valid Driver’s License - required.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English - required.
  • Must ski or snowboard at an intermediate level or higher - required.
