Lift Operations Leads are responsible for the safe, courteous, and efficient operation of the lifts. Leads will be helping to train and supervise a group of 20-40 lift operators.  Prior work experience as a lift operator is a requirement for this position. This position is seasonal.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for guest and co-worker safety at the chairlifts. Must be safety conscious and able to make quick decisions.
  • Responsible for making positive contact with our guests as they enjoy our mountain.
  • Will help to supervise a group of 20-40 lift operators, enforce company and department policies, and schedule operators on a daily basis.
  • Participate in classroom and on the job training for lift operators and ensure training documents are kept current.
  • Coordinates and assists in daily setup, and routine maintenance of lift areas.
  • Will be responsible for assisting with weather closures, documenting downtime, and providing guest service during closures.
  • Works closely with ski patrol, mountain safety, lift maintenance, and lift electric to assist and resolve any problems that may arise on the mountain.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum one season lift operations experience.
  • Knowledge of lift machinery and daily operational procedures.
  • Must be able to adhere to an early morning starting time.
  • Experience working in a winter environment preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and write English required.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • You must provide your own ski or ride gear.  We provide a uniform and helmet for use while working.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude with co-workers and guests.
  • Exceptional communication skills; Ability to lead a team to a successful season.
  • Exceptional guest service skills; Ability to work in a very fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle preferred. Valid driver's license.

 

Schedule: Four (4) consecutive days per week, Ten (10) hours per day. Holidays and weekends are required. Mountain is open seven (7) days per week.
