Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $25 per hour
  • Effective October 2022 minimum wage will be increased to $20 per hour.

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round


Job Summary

This position requires a highly-skilled person with experience in operating and maintaining all types of equipment in their areas of responsibility. Primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and reliable mechanical operation of lifts, with emphasis on proficiency, instruction, safety, and leadership in all areas of Lift Maintenance. Additional responsibilities include: Ordering all parts required to complete annual and periodic  maintenance. Plan daily, weekly, monthly, etc. maintenance on assigned ski lifts and assure preventive maintenance schedules are complied with.


Essential Job Functions

  • Supervises all staff assigned to the lifts in his or her zone.
  • Plans and organizes zone maintenance activities including ordering parts and tools on a daily basis.
  • Trains all zone staff.
  • Responsible for following the company’s safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the performance and training of subordinates in all routine and assigned maintenance procedures under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager.
  • Must troubleshoot all “down” lifts.
  • Direct mechanics and electricians in high stress situations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Maintenance Manager Lead and Lift Dispatch are immediately informed and consulted about all abnormal or unusual conditions, incidents, observations, or system malfunctions.
  • Must be able to evacuate a lift under auxiliary power in all circumstances.
  • Responsible for recording all information of work performed on lifts and submitting lift records in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for inventory and ordering all parts and equipment needed for summer and winter maintenance of ski lifts.
  • Overtime may be required



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 years of Lift Maintenance experience.
  • Proven Master-Level Lift Mechanic skills and abilities.
  • Must be knowledgeable of regulatory codes as they pertain to lifts.
  • Snowmobile and vehicle trained.
  • Must be able to become climbing certified.
  • Certified Level II NDT Inspector.
  • Valid Pennsylvia Drivers license - preferred.
  • Basic working knowledge of desktop computer systems and applications.
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to perform major lift modifications.
  • Ability to overhaul or rebuild all line and terminal equipment.
  • Willing to work  in inclement weather.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experienced in heavy rigging.
  • Willing to work night shift, winter, summer, holidays, weekends.


The budgeted range starts at $25 - $37.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
