The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role in relating and communicating technology initiatives in a business context. Responsible for conducting fit/gap analysis, partnering with the technical developers for the implementation of requested upgrades, enhancements, and changes to all installed PeopleSoft HCM applications (Benefits, Payroll for North America, Time and Labor). This person will lead design sessions, facilitate requirements gathering, document business needs for technical developers. This person will also be responsible for creating test plans, identifying test scenarios, writing and executing Quality Assurance scripts and identifying issues. 


This person will be a key resource for the team in light of recent acquisition of a large Canadian entity.  The BA will most likely be involved with one or many of the following areas:

  • Successful configuration and support of Payroll for North America, as it relates to Canadian payroll and year end processing
  • Support processes, interfaces, and integration points with current ERP system modules
  • Will assist in QA testing in order to meet deadlines of current release cycle
  • Will be asked to project lead small to medium sized projects as determined by manager


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 3+ years of experience working as a PeopleSoft Business/Systems Analyst
  • Strong PeopleSoft experience in one or more of the following modules : Payroll, Benefits (Administration), Time and Labor, Core HR


Job Responsibilities


  • Build customer confidence, be committed to increasing value and exceptional experiences for HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Time Entry.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly growing organization while simultaneously looking for foundational improvements.
  • Strong PeopleSoft experience in one or more of the following modules : Payroll, Benefits (Administration), Time and Labor, Core HR
  • Diagnose and resolve PeopleSoft system related questions to ensure the accuracy of business critical systems.  Interact with database administrators, developers, and business system users in this effort.
  • Work with outside vendors to develop and test new and modified interfaces.  Troubleshoot production errors that are identified by vendors.
  • Manage and participate in development of system test plans and acceptance criteria relating to enhancements, bug fixes, bundles and tax updates.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and areas of opportunities.  Make recommendations for potential process and/or systemchanges.
  • Successfully utilize prior experience in applying methodology and best practices.  Use standard techniques to elicit and document business requirements and effectively identify process inefficiencies and make suggestions for modifications.
  • Facilitate the prioritization process across multiple stakeholders.  Provide functional support of applications, working directly with clients in managing their requests, and translating functional requirements to technical specifications through hands-on analysis.
  • Identify new ways to approach and complete Quality Assurance practices and documentation.
  • Experience in PS conversions would be preferred
