The primary function of this position is to support the business requirements of the Revenue Management team through the preparation of reports, processes and managing relationships with third party aggregators.  This is achieved through managing and creating report templates on a weekly and monthly basis, while providing support to the team.  This role is responsible for collecting and distributing reports across multiple systems and reporting platforms.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares reports of revenue, profit, demand and occupancy for rooms (weekly, 30-60-90, and budgets) using information provided by the properties which is distributed company-wide
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining reporting tools that provide efficient, effective, and standardized approach for property revenue management teams
  • Point person for training and providing support in Excel and other data management applications.
  • Provides aggregated reports and analysis to Corporate Finance for Board of Director and Public Information Releases
  • Project manages future expansion of revenue management lodging processes and reporting to other lines of business
  • Re-engineer core reporting templates after implementation of new data warehousing system
  • Prepares various departmental monthly tracking reports
  • Evaluates competitive pricing trends and strategies
  • Manages relationship with Smith Travel Research, Rocky Mountain Lodging Report, and other similar industry reporting aggregators.
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports to STR, RMLR, etc.
  • Manage procurement and allocated billing for department; Process tracking from PO to Invoice to Receipt to Accruals; Manage Checkbooks
  • Lead evaluation of new reporting tools.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

  • College degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Operations Research, or similar discipline – required
  • Minimum two years in financial/business analysis, or related role – required
  • Power user of Excel: candidate is expected to possess strong business modeling skills and an intermediate understanding of Visual Basic for Applications – required
  • SQL Experience – required
  • Detail oriented skill sets with an uncompromising level of accuracy on assigned tasks and the ability to follow through to a conclusion – required
  • Experience in creating reports in Tableau or similar reporting visualization tools. - required 
  • Excellent analytical, data mining/manipulation, financial modeling abilities, and mathematical skills
  • Understanding of database structure, data warehousing, and Business Intelligence applications - required
  • Past management of analytical projects a plus.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly to scale data outside of its current scope
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills - required
  • Ability to work successfully in a strong team environment – required
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing multi-task environment
  • Strong deductive reasoning
  • Strategic decision making
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage expectations
  • Good people relationship skills
  • Knowledge of Revenue Management concepts, tactics, and processes a plus
  • Understanding of the Lodging sales process a plus
