Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Project Manager to join our exciting, growing Business Intelligence Technology group.  This role will be responsible for managing projects of varying complexity for our Enterprise Data Warehouse which supports various business units including Marketing Analytics, CRM, Hospitality and Finance.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Partner with Marketing Analytics, CRM, other stakeholders to enable Vail Resorts’ strategic objectives by enabling business solution design and leading technical designs / development across the Enterprise BI platforms.
  • Responsible for day-to-day project management activities in an agile environment including:  project initiating, risk/issue resolution; project planning, budgeting, people planning, scope management and communication.
  • Play a Scrum Master role on our Agile projects and lead the team through daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, story pointing, demos and retros.
  • This individual will partner with the Development and BA team to plan for appropriate testing, training, and transition plans to ensure seamless implementations, and will coordinate testing activities between business and technical stakeholders.
  • Project communication to project team and stakeholders, including weekly status, issues, risks, dependencies.
  • This position will manage relationships with 3rd party vendors, including RFQs, contract negotiations, invoice payment and tracking
  • Manage capital project budgets, tracking and reporting.
  • Partner with all stakeholders to ensure scope is defined, requirements are developed and delivered.  Stakeholders include CRM, Email, Analytics, Infrastructure, Database, etc.
  • Build relationships with lines of business and other stakeholders across the Vail Resorts’ brands to enable the seamless design and implementation of BI projects.
  • The individual will also work with various lines of business to manage and prioritize ongoing support and maintenance activities across the BI application environment.
  • Work to improve the project management discipline and capabilities within Vail Resorts’ technology ecosystem.
  • This person will become a subject matter expert and work with our team and other internal teams to continue improve our applications.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of managing Data Warehouse, BI, CRM and other technology projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project.
  • Experience managing vendors is required
  • Experience managing all aspects of the BI software lifecycle required
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience with ticket tracking tools such as Jira preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
