Principal Analyst, Mountain Finance Broomfield

 

Description:

The Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value.  The Mountain Finance team performs comprehensive financial planning, forecasting and analysis to enable the company to align its resources with the achievement of its strategic goals - both long term and short term. The team works closely with the resort finance and leadership teams, along with the broader Finance organization in Broomfield.  This position will report to the Director of Mountain Finance and support the major Financial Planning & Analysis functions within the company.

 

Essential job responsibilities include expertise in the Summer, Ski School and Lift Revenue lines of business in the Mountain segment, specifically as relates to the following:

  • Delivering business insights by:
    • Providing cross-resort comparisons and analytics
    • Analyzing trends in the business to support decision making
    • Evaluating labor and expense margins and cost saving opportunities
  • Execute value-added analysis and decision support for business projects and initiatives
  • Review and own major financial planning processes (operating budget, capital budget, forecasts)
  • Develop finance & business presentations for Mountain leadership, Executive Committee and Board of Directors that can effectively summarize materials into key assumptions, risks/opportunities and decision points
  • Coordinate all aspects of cross-resort reporting, including standardization of materials and ensuring consistency in reporting
  • Assist with the reporting for executive dashboards, business intelligence and other operational analytics

 

Requirements:

 

5+ years experience (or 3 years equivalent with MBA or other graduate degree) in finance with demonstrated success in financial modeling and analysis. The ideal candidate should have experience coordinating all financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes.
