Job Summary:
Assist the Occupational Health Manager as enterprise Food & Beverage subject matter expert (SME) and safety representative. Seasonally assist Workers Compensation team with claims administration.

Job Responsibilities:
- Support OH manager with F&B safety initiatives and WC team during peak winter season; including but not limited to:
- Create and distribute F&B incident reduction plans
- Attend F&B regional meetings
- Monitor compliance with VR Food Safety Audit
- Monitor F&B compliance with broader health & safety audits
- Monitor F&B safety trends using Tableau
- Support the Company’s Health and Safety strategy to achieve world class Health and Safety performance within the travel and leisure Industry. Responsible for the execution of:
- Safety Trainings
- Audits and Assessments
- Resort Safety Programs and Compliance
- Advising and coaching front line leaders on Health and Safety initiatives
- Develop an understanding of the core business needs and historic/current/predictive safety metrics in order to adjust safety strategy accordingly.
- Address compliance and regulatory safety as well as risk management trends and regulatory focus areas as directed by the Senior Manager.
- Engage, as required, with local, state and federal officials as necessary to support Health and Safety Compliance and best practices.
- Communicate with a variety of stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Interpretation and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA) and WorkSafe BC regulation
- Execute projects as assigned
- Own your self-development on the Health and Safety Team.
- Provide seasonal administrative workers’ compensation support as needed
- Other duties or tasks as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- BS in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health or like required
- Previous food safety inspection and retail food establishment plan review experience.
- 1-3 years’ experience working in Health and Safety, Public Health or related field
- Certified Food Safety Professional (CP-FS), Food handler training, Certified food safety manager by an accredited source
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word), including Tableau, Saba learning management systems, and Enablon.
- English and Spanish (preferred)
Preferred:
- Familiarity with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Code
- Understanding of basic food safety principles
- Food Safety Manager course, Food Handler or Certified Professional in Food Safety (CP-FS)
- FDA inspection experience
- Understanding of foodborne illness
- Understanding of communicable disease
- Experience working with large-scale Food & Beverage operations
- Experience analyzing, and advising on safety data analytics
- Experience leading and implementing change
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $47,840 - $63,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
