Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Inventory Management, the Sr. Manager of Replenishment is responsible for developing and leading the inventory replenishment strategies across the 200+ stores for Vail Resorts Retail. In partnership with the Sr Manager of Inventory Management and Director of Distribution Operations, this position will be responsible for the developing inventory strategies by DC location and replenishment initiatives that will drive inventory efficiencies, strong in stock positions to support guest experience and financial expectations. The Sr. Manager will identify strategic opportunities for future state training, development and implementation of best in class processes within the team. The individual will bring recommendations forward to work with the senior director in prioritizing these against the broader priorities for the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, workload prioritization and organizational skills, excellent communication and strong team development skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop bench strength of Retail Product Team focusing on hiring, coaching, and leveraging the talent philosophy. 
  • Develop new strategies and identify opportunities to improve efficiency sku level inventory across both the store and DC base. 
  • Ensures effective communication, coordination and cooperation between multiple cross functional partners including, operations, DC managers, buyers and inventory planners 
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including the training and development team, distribution centers, IT, and merchants to ensure the creation and documentation of current and future processes. 
  • Demonstrate an unyielding passion for the guest experience, culture, mission and vision. 
  • Actively engage with the retail product team to establish and execute the strategic vision for purchasing, inventory flow and ideal inventory levels. 
  • Anticipate the changing needs of the business and align resources and plans to support the future initiatives including acquisitions, new supply chain efficiencies, and new vendors.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s’ degree or equivalent work experience required 
  • 5-7+ years relevant work experience in replenishment, buying or planning
  • Experience managing a team and prioritization of workload  
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suites (Advanced skills in Excel- including pivot tables, advanced formulas and data manipulation)  
  • Understanding of basic financial measures 
  • Strong organization and communication skills paired with analytical and problem solving aptitude  
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization and resource efficiency management 
  • Adaptive to change and able to respond to varied and unique requests while meeting organizational objectives 

The budgeted range starts at $96,200 - $112,300 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
