Payroll Team Lead

SUMMARY OF JOB: Lead the payroll coordinator team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and case management. This position requires leadership skills, the ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.  Must demonstrate a desire for continuous improvement.


  • Ensure payroll team is fully trained in payroll processing tasks and requirements and has a full understanding of required support of operating units
  • Responsible for weekly/bi-weekly payroll processing including scheduling and assignments
  • Manage ESL and RTW processes
  • Oversight of assignment and completion of Service Now cases
  • Maintain and improve OneNote SOPs and Knowledge Base articles
  • Facilitate bi-weekly payroll coordinator meeting
  • Complete weekly tactical 1:1s with coordinators for performance and training
  • Research and resolve payroll issues
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or commensurate experience preferred
  • At least 3 years of payroll and/or leadership experience preferred
  • FPC, CPP preferred
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and One Note
  • Excellent customer service details
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees


  • Equipment used in job includes computer, phone, check printer, and folding machine
  • Occasional Holidays/Weekends/Evenings

The budgeted range starts at 20.00 - 26.20.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
