Summary of Job:


The Talent Development Manager will drive the development and implementation of talent development initiatives within region. The person in this role should have a strong ability to develop relationships with senior leaders, HR business partners and other functional groups to deliver on enterprise Talent strategies, programs and initiatives.  We are looking for someone who will be strategic and solutions oriented with strong leadership, consulting and talent development expertise who can collaborate with Sr. Leaders to drive business value leveraging our talent strategy, enterprise-wide programs, tools, processes and data within region.


Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Partner directly with Sr. Regional Relationship Manager and HR Business Leader to align talent and business needs through enterprise strategies and resources with regional relevance.
  • Deepen Vail Resorts leadership, team, and organizational change strategies and processes.
  • Conduct internal consulting with local senior leadership team and HR leaders to analyze and assist with leadership, team and cultural development needs.
  • Help to maintain programmatic enterprise-wide leadership offerings to delivering world-class learning curriculum, programs, and experiences.
  • Develop enterprise-wide Talent strategies and solutions based on subject matter expertise in areas such as learning, performance management, goal setting, leadership talent reviews, and succession planning.
  • Develop and deliver programs targeted at high performing team and employee development
  • Ensure ROI from programs, curriculum, and delivery practices
  • Evaluate impact of talent management programs/initiatives and use data driven expertise to provide solutions to the local region


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, OD/Leadership, HR or related field.  Advanced degree preferred.
  • Educational Development training certifications, or relevant HR, L&D,  OD or Coaching certifications are a plus
  • 5-7 years directly related experience, preferably in a medium-large company or consultancy
  • 1+ years managing others
