Job Summary


The Channel Analytics team is responsible for: using a data driven approach to inform marketing decisions, monitoring business trends, launching enterprise multichannel high impact experiments, measuring guest behaviors, ensuring the highest data quality, and maximizing channel effectiveness across the organization. The Omni-Channel Insights Team is a key partnership with our Channel Lead Experts providing accurate analysis and insights to help them drive our Omni-Channel marketing plans forward to hit business deliverables. The team is at the center of insight-driven strategic decision making across the entire enterprise and is a key strategic partner of as well for each key Line of Business (including Season Pass, Paid Lift Tickets, Ski School, etc). The primary purpose of the Sr. Manager, Omni-Channel Insights position will be to support and monitor the effectiveness of our CRM and Media programs (email, push message, text, paid search, display, paid social, etc) across future oriented efforts in conjunction with our overall digital programs, while managing a team which provides insights that drive improvements and help with strategy to optimize overall Omni-Channel marketing performance. Your involvement in marketing includes: managing a team of analysts who produce detailed ad-hoc analysis as required by the channel leaders and marketing SLT, ensuring recurring analysis processes are conducted correctly and in a timely manner, developing new analytical approaches for more effective analysis and identifying trends in the macro marketing data which help tell the broader Omni-Channel story in alignment with our business results.

You will be responsible for helping understand marketing effectiveness across primarily the CRM and Media landscape, while maintaining an Omni-Channel approach to our analysis. You will coordinate with the Data Governance, Data Engineering, and IT team to identify opportunities for improved reporting efficiency to ensure reporting is created in the most standardized and automated manner possible.


Job Responsibilities

  • 5-7 years prior marketing analytics, digital analytics, media optimization & analytics, or other related experience in a multi-line of business company managing many different brands and initiatives.

  • Experience evaluating both Media and RM effectiveness; Email, Paid Search, Text Upsell, Push Message, Display, Paid Social, etc

  • Comfortable presenting to and communicating with senior leadership to tell marketing effectiveness results, and providing recommendations to enhance our overall customer marketing initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success working with very large data sets, developing tools for streamlined analysis, and creating reports that succinctly summarize complex concepts.

  • Ability to work in Snowflake / Azure / Hadoop a plus.

  • Experience with multiple attribution models (Last Touch, J Curve, Multi-Touch Fractional) required.

  • Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication, adjusting message to audience to tell a clear and concise story.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills are essential. Must be able handle multiple projects and requests simultaneously and coordinate across multiple functions within an organization

  • Highly collaborative approach and open communication style

  • Hospitality or travel industry experience helpful but not required


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics) required
  • Experience with 1 or more analytics tools/software specific to Omni-Channel Fractional Attribution analysis (Adobe Analytics / Google Analytics / Nielsen Attribution) required.

  • Ability to work in Snowflake / Azure / Hadoop a plus using advanced techniques to manage large datasets.

  • Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, SQL experience a plus.

  • High level of comfort with Omni-Channel Marketing Technology

  • 5-7 years managing a team of analysts in a fast paced multi line of business environment.

  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook and Internet applications Hospitality or travel industry experience helpful but not required

  • Experience with 1 or more analytics tools/software specific to channel analysis (Adobe Analytics / Google Analytics / Snowflake / Multi-Touch Attribution Tools.

  • RStudio, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, experience a plus.

  • High level of comfort understanding interactions with Marketing Technology tools and individual channel performance impacts.

  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications

  • Knowledge of brand personalities, key product offerings, & resort locations

  • Minimal travel to resort locations and also to partner/vendor locations

  • Familiarity with Vail Resorts and its operations is helpful


  • Master’s degree or PhD in marketing or business field

  • Familiarity with Vail Resorts and its operations is helpful



The budgeted range starts at $100,000 - $125,450 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
