Job Summary

This position will serve as a Senior Analyst, Pricing & Product for Vail Resorts Snowsport and Bike Rental lines of business. This individual will form a close working relationship with both financial, marketing, and operational leaders, requiring excellent communication skills, a strong business acumen and in-depth knowledge of the company’s business strategies and goals. This role will lead direct reports to drive KPI reporting, pricing strategy development, and successful fulfillment of those strategies through product set up.

Job Responsibilities

The purpose of the Job Responsibilities section is to outline the core duties of the role and what the candidate will be doing on a day to day basis if they get the position.

  • Prepares analysis of pricing strategies including new model development, revenue and utilization impacts, price performance, benchmarking, and other KPIs
  • Develop analytical capabilities to enable pricing optimization and monitoring infrastructure, using this to continually assess, define, and scale pricing opportunities for various channels
  • Assist with driving opportunities that will drive increased guest satisfaction with the rental process - reduce error or rework in the rental process by making it easier through both system, process and procedures
  • Work with large data sets, mainly in excel and/or SQL, to build complex models to assess impact on business metrics and derive meaningful insight
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness of data, and ease of extraction to support routine and ad-hoc data requests
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our evolving data warehouse
  • Training, development and coaching of two analysts

 

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Advanced ability in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in of SQL and Databases
  • Experience in quantitative analysis
  • Ability to manage work for multiple projects
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Highly collaborative team approach to work
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with large-scale business transformations with tangible impact on operating/financial performance preferred
  • Strong presentation skills preferred

 

 The budgeted range starts at $67,000 - $81,150 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
