As a member of the Condominium Owner Accounting staff, you will accurately apply cash payments, manage and reconcile a variety of balance sheet accounts as they relate to daily processing of cash and owner statements, and respond promptly and accurately to stakeholder inquiries.

 

General Description:

  • Assist in owner support through the processes of cash application, billing, maintenance of the owner portal, and accurate revenue & expense postings to owner accounts
  • Support additional cash application needs of Resort Signature Clubs and misc. business relations
  • Preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure transactional accuracy and compliance
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional and team attitude toward coworkers, internal and external customers, and management

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Post payments to varying points of sale, provide payment research, and perform bank reconciliations
  • Enter general ledger journals and reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Manage Property Management and HOA agings and delinquent accounts procedures
  • Collect and remit appropriate withholding taxes for owners
  • Association dues posting
  • Report financial status to title companies at sale of property
  • Extensive customer service
  • Focus on ongoing process improvement, making recommendations and participating/leading initiatives to improve efficiency among the direct team and stakeholders
  • Active participation in driving results to meet individual, team, and department objectives
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Cash handling experience and bank reconciliation experience – Preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation and experience, with excellent oral and written communications skills            
  • Bachelor Degree in business, accounting or related discipline - Preferred
  • Strong attention to detail; highly organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and PeopleSoft Financials
  • 1-2 years accounting experience
  • Self-starter with a drive for excellence, ability to build strong working relationships, and a proven ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment 
  • Previous experience using IQWare, Inntopia, Host Analytics, or LMS (AS/400) - Preferred
