Job Summary

 

The Senior Manager, Talent Development Relationship Manager will play a key role in cultivating exceptional talent to elevate the employee experience and drive growth and profitability at Vail Resorts.  The Talent Development Relationship Manager partners directly with Senior HR Business Partners and Senior Leaders to align the talent development strategy and priorities to achieve their business goals, through the development and application of enterprise processes, tools and solutions.  In this role, you will partner with our corporate functions and the executive committee members who lead Marketing, Finance, IT, Legal and HR. 

This high-impact, hands-on position will be charged with building, executing and managing comprehensive leadership programs that drive excellence to further our Business, Culture, and Talent Priorities. The person in this role should have a strong ability to develop relationships with senior leaders, HR business partners and other functional groups to deliver on enterprise Talent strategies, programs and initiatives.  This role will have an enterprise focus and own the TD relationship with our HR Business Partners for Vail Resorts corporate functions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner directly with HR Business Leaders and Operational Leaders to diagnose organization capabilities, provide strategy, thought leadership, development and talent programs designed to drive business results.
  • Enhance the employee experience through designing, developing, and implementing talent programs to develop Leaders and build high performance teams. 
  • Strategize programmatic enterprise-wide leadership offerings to delivering world-class learning, exposure and experiences aimed at enhancing the employee experience and building a sustainable pipeline of high-caliber leaders
  • Develop enterprise-wide talent strategies and solutions based on subject matter expertise in areas such as leadership development, learning, performance management and succession planning.
  • Evaluate impact of talent programs/initiatives and use data driven expertise to provide solutions to the business that generate a positive ROI
  • Integrate inclusivity into talent development programs and talent practices to foster a sense of belonging and equality for all.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, OD/Leadership, HR or related field.  Advanced degree preferred.
  • Certifications for relevant HR, L&D,  OD or Coaching a plus
  • 7+ years directly related experience, preferably in a medium-large company or consultancy
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Experience delivering cross functional projects, program or project management
